a diamond in the rough

the strictly practicable individuals of the art world would murder me, but i'm absolutely in love with lee bul's designs. her grandiose and decorative works including chandeliers and other unidentifiable sculptures look a little like diamond-encrusted alien cocoons and a lot like divinity. incredibly elaborate, yet mutually delicate, bul's definitely tapped into something entirely unique - an almost impossible task in the design world. while diamonds may melt only in extreme heat, my heart did at mere first sight.
