i really fucking hate it

when my mum just assumes all my friends are fucked up stoners and burnouts. after hearing one of my friends from another school only got band fours and fives in the HSC she was like, "oh, well that was sort of expected i guess, your marks do depend on how much you party and do all that stuff." she just assumes that all my friends must be screwed up or lost causes. but when i looked at her as if to say 'excuse me?' she pretended she hadn't meant to insinuate anything. as if. point being, this friend doesn't even do all that, she's just not ridiculously bright or anything. it has nothing to do with anything else. i just find it really degrading how she condemns everyone associated with me as a deadbeat.
