crush

crushing on berry crush: my newest summer addiction, in the middle of winter. having my wisdom teeth out and not properly being able to eat fruit i was making one of these for myself almost every day, i think i'm going to miss them once i get all better. a little bit sweet and a little bit sour, in matters of health as well as taste, i'm beginning to think this perfect combination could soon put any chance of me eating actual fruit right out of business. so here's me, spreading the love and sharing my dirty little secret with you. i tend to mix the quantities up as i go, but it goes a little something like this.

ingredients: 250mL weis' raspberry & strawberry ''berry" sorbet, one cup of apple juice, ≈75g of sara lee's forest berries (i usually just use a large handful), and a squirt of lemon juice. if you're feeling adventurous, you could always add some fresh strawberries, blueberries or the like yourself but it's pretty flavoursome as it stands.







basically all you have to do is put all of these in a blender and mix! it's usually a good idea to melt the sorbet a little first if it's too hard, and voila! sweet and sour berry crush. it's usually better to drink it from a giant cup with a straw like a normal person, so just ignore my interesting choice of presentation. oh, and the best part? you can lick the spoon.
